Senior Network Engineer, CO / Hybrid, Direct Hire / Full time position
Castle Rock, CO
2-3 days onsite a week
A bachelor s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a closely related field.
Four (4) years of experience in network and telephony operations required.
A combination of additional years of experience and/or certifications can be substituted for the degree requirement.
Knowledge:
Mid to high level experience in traditional WAN and LAN using Networking products such as routers, switches, wireless Firewalls and protocols (such as HSRP, VPC, Port-channels, Spanning Tree, VTP).
Mid to high level experience with routing protocol (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), QoS and traffic shaping.
Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
Mid to high level experience in a complex, distributed and multi-OS environment with overlapping technologies.
Mid to high level experience with firewalls, and VPN access technologies.
Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric infrastructure) technologies .
Experience with TACACS and Cisco ISE.
Skills:
Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex technical documents, diagrams, and manuals.
Ability to communicate with management, users, and technical staff at all levels.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, apply logic, draw valid conclusions, and devise complex technical solutions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to provide complex technical network systems solutions involving multiple systems integration, platforms, protocols, and technologies.
Ability to recognize and adjust to rapidly changing technologies and trends.
