About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Excellence Manager / Production System to join our team in Canaan, Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing and managing our production system, and fostering a culture of operational excellence. You will partner with plant leadership to achieve strategic goals, optimize performance, and ensure alignment with our commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategy deployment (SD) and ensure alignment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with plant leadership and business unit managers to develop and execute the plant's Excellence and Cost to Win plan/budget.
- Coach and mentor the plant leadership team on excellence principles, including external and internal benchmarking and a zero-loss approach.
- Develop and enhance capability through component teams, establishing strong foundations in safety, quality, and reliability.
- Coordinate the deployment of excellence components and methodologies to achieve long-term continuous improvement objectives.
- Lead focused improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, to eliminate waste and optimize processes.
- Develop and manage a multi-year Cost to Win (CTW) portfolio, overseeing governance processes and loss landscape optimization.
- Coordinate component and project teams to achieve strategic goals and meet or exceed CTW targets.
- Create and manage the continuous improvement budget.
- Champion safety, customer centricity, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience, including leadership roles within a plant.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating and managing a production system.
- Demonstrated experience and recognized expertise in production system methodologies.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve measurable results.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
