Title: Warehouse and Logistics Manager
Location: Cherry Point, NC(Onsite)
Duration: Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Inventory Management: Supervise the storage, organization, and tracking of inventory. Ensure accurate stock levels and timely restocking.
- Product Handling: Safely lift and move boxes, operate pallet jacks, and manage product storage. Follow all safety guidelines for handling items.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance warehouse processes to boost efficiency, minimize waste, and ensure smooth operations.
- IT Integration: Utilize IT systems for inventory tracking, order processing, and reporting. Transition to paperless systems and streamline operations using advanced technology.
Order Fulfillment and Delivery:
- Requisition and PO Management: Handle requisitions, purchase orders (POs), and plan deliveries. Ensure accurate and timely shipments.
- Putaway and Stocking: Oversee proper putaway of received goods and maintain organized storage for easy item retrieval.
- Material Transportation: Drive materials from the warehouse to installation sites as needed, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
Supporting Installation Teams:
- Assistance on Site: Support the installation team by delivering materials and providing on-site assistance as required.
- Handling DOA Items: Manage Dead on Arrival (DOA) items and warranty claims. Coordinate with vendors for replacements or repairs.
Vendor and Subcontractor Management:
- Vendor Relations: Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and resolving issues. Handle documentation digitally.
- Subcontract Management: Oversee subcontractors to ensure they meet agreed-upon terms and timelines. Coordinate for required materials or services.
Logistics Lead Duties:
- Process Automation: Implement IT solutions for logistics and warehouse management, including inventory management software and digital PO systems. Transition to Netsuite ERP and paperless operations.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data for performance tracking, identifying bottlenecks, and making informed decisions. Generate and analyze reports on performance, inventory levels, and delivery efficiency.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular inspections. Train staff on safety protocols and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting and moving boxes, operating pallet jacks, and driving delivery vehicles.
- IT Proficiency: Extensive experience with IT systems for warehouse and logistics management, including inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Vendor Management: Skilled in managing vendor relationships and handling digital documentation.
- Process Improvement: Ability to identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
- Communication: Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors, subcontractors, and installation teams.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management.
- Proven track record in process improvement and IT system integration.
