Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the assigned shifts, including safety, quality, efficiency, process execution, and team development.
Job Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises hourly employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Responsible for supervision of and ability to perform all essential job functions of Shipping and Receiving Team Members and Customer Contact position
- Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Leads 5S in the warehouse area and influences 5S throughout the facility
- Creates and maintains shipping and receiving documents for inbound material receipts, outbound material paperwork, customer specific documents, and customs documentation.
- Manages the storage, maintenance and cleaning of the plant’s returnable container fleet as well as working with the Customer Contacts and Master Scheduler to ensure returnable containers are available to support the production plan.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Skills and Experience:
Associates degree from two-year or technical college or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
License, Certification or Special Requirements:
None required.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn including but not limited to: eyes, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as required.
