Overview :
The Operations Manager, Accounts Receivable Collections position will oversee a team of six or more employees responsible for clearing aged receivables through research, analysis, payment application, audit resolution, and third-party vendor management. This position will lead the overall day to day collection process including data analytics / KPIs, reporting, escalations, and collaboration with the team as well as other internal departments to increase process efficiencies. This will be a hands-on role and will require the manager to perform collector functions as needed.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee Accounts Receivable Collections team.
- Serve as escalation point for issues that impact high profile agents, customers, and internal business units.
- Perform collector functions as needed to ensure goal attainment.
- Build a continuous improvement mindset across the team and help identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Establish, manage, and communicate both individual and team departmental goals
- Model behavior and coach, mentor, motivate and hold each individual accountable.
- Develop and evolve one on one meetings with each individual creating two-way communication.
- Develop ongoing training program for new hires.
- Partner with IT to resolve issues and enhance system support.
