We are seeking a skilled Legal Secretary to support our team at Amundsen Davis, LLC. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting teams involved in transactional matters such as trust and estates, real estate transactions, contracts, and other business-related legal activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and proofread complex legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
- Assist in preparing transactional documents, such as closing binders and deal summaries.
- Support the opening of new client files and assist in reviewing, editing, and preparing client billing.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments related to transactions.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical transactional documents and files.
- Handle phone calls and emails related to transactional matters.
- Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and requirements related to transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and sensitive legal matters.
Requirements:
- Candidates should have at least 5-10 years' experience as a legal secretary and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- The candidate should be highly organized, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
- Candidates should demonstrate an ability to work independently and collaboratively with other legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys to meet deadlines and provide excellent internal and external client service.
- Candidates should be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
