*Job Overview* As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the construction industry by analyzing project requirements and providing accurate cost estimates to support successful project completion. *Duties* - Utilize HeavyBid software to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects - Collaborate with project management teams to understand contract specifications and project scope - Analyze blueprints and technical documents to determine materials, labor, and equipment needed for projects - Build and price accurate estimates based on labor, material, and equipment costs - Visit construction sites to gather information necessary for estimating - Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing - Provide timely and accurate estimates to support bidding processes *Skills* - Proficiency in HeavyBid software for construction estimating - Strong project management skills to handle multiple estimates simultaneously - Knowledge of construction site operations and processes - Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar software for reviewing and marking up drawings - Ability to interpret contracts and specifications - Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing - Background in construction estimating or construction management
