What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipe Foreman position at Amundson Group?
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee daily operations of piping projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to specifications.
- Team Leadership: Manage, supervise, and mentor pipe fitters, welders, and labor crews. Ensure appropriate staffing, training, and delegation of tasks to maintain efficient workflow.
- Quality Control: Ensure all piping installations meet industry standards, regulations, and quality specifications. Perform inspections and audits to maintain high-quality work.
- Safety Management: Enforce and promote safety practices on all job sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations. Conduct safety meetings and ensure employees are properly trained and equipped.
- Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets and schedules. Assist in procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring they are available and meet project timelines.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth communication, address concerns, and resolve issues promptly.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues related to piping installations, ensuring solutions are efficient and cost-effective.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, inspections, materials, and workforce activities. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
