Site Development Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for site development projects, including earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and horizontal construction.
• Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and bid preparation using HCSS HeavyBid and HeavyJob software.
• Review project documents (blueprints, specs, contracts) to ensure accuracy in bids.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and field staff to ensure estimates reflect actual project conditions.
• Sign on and coordinate with subcontractors, handling RFIs, submittals, and tracking material orders.
• Engage with clients and homebuilders to understand project requirements and deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality service.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as an Estimator in site development or heavy civil construction.
• Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid, HeavyJob, and other relevant construction software.
• Familiarity with private development projects, residential land development, and working with large homebuilders.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Local or regional experience within Florida.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
