Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee and manage site development projects overseeing grading and underground utilities (Sewer/Water/Storm) The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction management principles. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics, ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely completion of construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate tasks and resolve issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Prolog for project documentation and communication.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide construction activities effectively.
- Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in construction management and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports on site activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices on construction sites.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Bluebeam and Prolog.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong budgeting skills with experience in cost estimation for construction projects.
- Ability to use tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical work when necessary.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively lead teams and interact with clients.
- A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
