Position Summary :
The Site Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the operations during construction / renovation of a building or facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : planning and coordinating new construction, repairs, renovations, remodels or installations, working with vendors, ensuring each facility meets safety standards, and monitoring budgets for contracts, equipment, and supplies. Typically, the Site Superintendent reports to the Director and Project Managers and may direct other facility staff. The Site Superintendent will forward continuous adjustments & refinements to the pre-inspection checklists as codes change & testing / inspection process requirements change per each individual State Fire Marshal Inspector. Monitor the day-to-day progress of construction projects assigned and perform inspections, document site conditions, project progress, and observations. Project assignments may include renovations and / or new construction on UGA and / or UGA Athletic Association facilities.
This position has a limited 2-year appointment term which is expected to end two years from the effective hire date. This appointment may be extended if the volume & complexity of projects continues to be high.
