American Vanguard was founded in 1969 and is a $600M diversified agricultural and specialty products company focusing on crop protection, turf and ornamental markets, and public health applications. The Company markets its product lines in the USA and internationally in 24 countries, including Brazil, Latin America, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and several other countries in Asia.
American Vanguard has four primary multi-product chemical manufacturing facilities in the USA. In addition, the Company operates three biological manufacturing plants (in the USA, Mexico and India). Our manufacturing facilities operate batch processing systems and synthesize chemicals and formulate those products into finished goods.
The Role:
We are seeking a Treasury Analyst with strong analytical skills and experience to add significant value to the transformation of our organization including implementing improved treasury processes. Key job responsibilities:
- Oversee global banking services and treasury processes
- Account administration and payment workflows
- Global cash management and liquidity optimization
- Banking and intercompany reconciliations
- Enhance and maintain cash forecasting models (short-term, long-term, and ad-hoc) with variance analysis
- Prepare quarterly bank covenant compliance calculations
- Support the development and implementation of treasury policies to improve governance and efficiency
- Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and Tax to align treasury with corporate goals
- Support other financial reporting and requirements within the department
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 3 years of corporate treasury experience, preferably at a public company, including cash forecasting, SOX compliance, and investment reporting
- In-depth knowledge of bank services, cash management structures, account administration, payment processing, and liquidity optimization
- Advanced financial modeling and analysis (advanced Excel required)
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with proven experience managing multiple priorities effectively
- Results-driven, motivated, adaptable and an effective communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
