Key Holder
Summary
The Key Holder is responsible for assisting management with the daily operations of the store including opening and closing the store, personnel management and customer service, and performing entry level duties as assigned.
Essential Functions

1. Assists management with operating a profitable thrift store.
2. Promotes a Safety-First workplace culture.
3. Ensures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
4. Assists management with controlling shrinkage, expenses and payroll.
5. Assists management with ensuring appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise displays and presentations; signing, and assortment in all departments; ensures sales floor is adequately stocked.
6. Assists management with ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.
7. Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully formed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken.
8. Opens and closes the store as needed.
9. Performs cashier, sales floor, and processor duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position assists management with supervising all entry level positions as needed.
Work Environment
This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and items available for purchase in inventory. The employee routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work will vary. Early evenings and weekends required.
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or high school equivalency certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Two or more years of related experience in retail industry, preferably in a thrift/discount store.
