This is a full time position with first shift hours.

SUMMARY
ESSENTIONAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide general administrative support to all Convention Service Managers.
- Distribute all event information to appropriate staff during daily routing with the assistance of the catering coordinator.
- Maintain accurate records of routing in the master packet
- Create and email reports to the proper departments.
- Attend daily and weekly staff meetings.
- Answer sales office phones in the absence of the Sales Receptionist
- Handle client requests in the absence of Convention Service Managers.
- Review banquet checks to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate in-house meetings and employee appreciation events
- Coordinate tour and entertainment groups and their requests.
- Coordinate small corporate meetings and events as well as in-conjunction events
- Any other task asked of you by your direct report
- Participate in an "aggressive hospitality program," greeting all guests with warmth and enthusiasm, and be attentive to their needs while they are with us.
- Learn and follow all hotel policies and procedures pertaining to your area of work. Follow established uniform standards and comply with all other company policies.
- Practice safety standards and reports all unsafe conditions.
- Provide fast and courteous service to our guests; to accomplish this, a well-organized work area must be maintained.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times as a goodwill ambassador of the AGPH to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Associate should have a positive attitude, be willing to please guests and get along with co-workers and supervisors
- Ability to follow established guidelines, procedures and policies.
- Good record of attendance and punctuality at work.
- Adherence to prescribed grooming and appearance standards.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be familiar with hotel layout, products, services, amenities, and history
- Applicant must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient in Excel and Adobe. Experience with Delphi and Delphi Diagrams a plus.
- Should be professional, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- The ability to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00pm. Willing to work outside these hours when necessary.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 2 years previous event experience preferred and prior Hotel experience is a plus
- Graduate of an accredited Hospitality Bachelors program preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the associate:
- Is regularly required to move around the hotel
- Is required to frequently reach with hands and arms
- Is regularly required to talk or hear
- Is occasionally required to sit and stoop; kneel or crouch
