What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Stock Room Clerk - Full Time position at Amway Grand Plaza Hotel?
$16.30/hour starting pay rate. This is a full time position with 1st shift hours. This position is eligible for full benefits (medical, dental & vision), 401K, paid vacation, weekly pay, Daily Pay, discounted downtown parking, free employee meals, hotel and restaurant discounts and more.
SUMMARY
The Stocking Clerk is responsible for helping with the daily operations of food, beverage and dry purchasing store rooms as instructed daily. The position also will dispense products and orders to meet the needs of various hotel departments and functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist with receiving and distribution of all goods according to the requisition and company procedures; inspect to ensure supplies/product is in good condition before accepting, know what items are currently out, place new orders on shelves and rotate stock in correct place as it arrives.
- Perform routine duties independently. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Has a fiduciary responsibility to the company and management.
- Handle and manage information confidentially.
- Follow AHC handbook policies and standard operating procedures.
- Actively working, always looking for ways to assists guests and going above and beyond to provide guest service.
- Ensuring the quality and level of service that the General Manager, Guest Care Manager, Manager on Duty and Guests expect is excellent and follows our company standards and policies.
- Uses other AHC hotels and staff as resources.
- Complete all daily responsibilities/cleaning task list
- Check in with department manager for that day’s assigned duties.
- Follow our hotel green policies.
- Ensure trash/recyclables are taken out
- Follow AHC guest service standards.
- Actively work with department staff, while following all departmental rules.
- Any other additional responsibilities that may be asked by General Manager, Guest Care Manager, Manager on Duty or Supervisor.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow Purchasing Code of Conduct.
- Check in with department manager for that day’s assigned duties.
- Follow our hotel green policies.
- Ensure trash/recyclables are taken out
- Follow AHC guest service standards.
- Actively work with department staff, while following all departmental rules.
- Any other additional responsibilities that may be asked by General Manager, Manager on Duty or Supervising Manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Related experience is preferred.
