Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in supporting various HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies, and fostering a positive workplace culture. This position requires a blend of administrative skills and strategic planning abilities to effectively manage recruitment processes, onboarding, training, leave of absence, benefits, performance evaluations, and HR/Administrative projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Administer HR plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assist in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures.
· Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Maintain company organization charts and the employee directory.
· Maintain human resources information system records and compile reports from that database.
· Maintain the security of HR documents and personnel files.
· Responsible for keeping track of and managing leave of absence cases.
· Provide counseling regarding general employee relations, employee outplacement, and employee exit interviews.
· Maintain the procedure that ensures employee performance evaluations are conducted timely.
· Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Oversee annual employee compliance training and support functional training for each department.
· Responsible for sending Corporate announcements to employees related to HR (e.g., Holiday closure, Benefits Open enrollment, etc.)
· Assist in processing paperwork related to employee transfer, promotion, separation, title change, etc.
· Create a nurturing environment and promoting the well-being and productivity of staff members
· Assist in organizing company events and activities (e.g., Company picnic, holiday luncheon, flu shot clinic, etc.)
· Manage the HR email inbox and respond to inquiries timely.
· Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace issues.
· Performs other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirement Education, Skills, and Abilities:
· A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
· 3 - 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
· Experience with ADP WorkForce Now HR Software system.
· Understanding employment laws, compensation, benefits, recruitment, and performance management.
· Strong verbal and written skills for interactions, training, and conflict resolution.
· Analytical approach to address challenges, conflicts, and organizational needs.
· Proficiency in interpersonal interactions, negotiation, and collaboration.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· Ability to analyze HR metrics, interpret trends, and guide decisions.
· Adjustment to evolving practices, laws, and organizational demands.
· Ethical judgment, empathy, and advisory skills for a diverse and inclusive work environment.
· Commitment to ongoing learning, cultural awareness, and mediation and skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· SHRM-CP or equivalent HR Certification.
