This role ensures smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations by managing production supervision teams across multiple shifts, coordinating with internal departments, and implementing strategies to optimize production quality and output. The Senior Production Manager will be responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. A key component of this role is a proven track record in mentorship and team building. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the production supervision team across all shifts, providing direction, training, and support.
- Oversee and direct the forecasting and scheduling of production, ensuring that downtime and changeovers are minimized while still meeting customer orders and lead time expectations. Coordinate with other departments, such as supply chain, quality control, and maintenance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Use lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to enhance production processes.
- Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications and ensure that all yield targets are met.
- Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials to optimize production efficiency.
- Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor production metrics and take action to meet yield and efficiency targets.
