What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Specialist position at Anaheim Elementary School District (TK-6)?
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE:
• Any combination equivalent to: college level or comparable courses in building trades and inspection, facility management, business practices and supervision, and four years of increasingly responsible experience in building construction, maintenance and inspections. Associate of Arts degree in related field and/or School Building Inspection certification preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE:
• A valid class C California driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s Vehicle Insurance Policy.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local statutes and regulations governing IPM use on school properties.
• Knowledge of compliance required for elevators, chair-lifts, knox-boxes, and SEARS energy management, HAZMAT, and AQMD.
• Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations, including California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and
California Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA).
• Knowledge of principles and practices used in the detection, identification, containment and removal of hazardous materials.
• Ability to gather data and prepare clear and concise reports
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
• Ability to assure compliance with safety practices and various code requirements.
• Ability to read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
