Anakeesta of Gatlinburg is looking for a Kitchen Manager for a fast-paced dining restaurant. To be successful in this role, you must have at least five years of kitchen experience, a positive work ethic, and general leadership qualities. The Kitchen Manager understands the importance of standards, speed, and quality.
Your Responsibilities

Must have a good positive attitude, want to have fun at work, and willingness to learn. Also, self-motivated

Understand food costs and know how to read a P&L.

Understands inventory and ordering.

Handle employee situations in a professional manner

Knowledge of scheduling and labor

Maintain a clean working environment.

Understanding that every aspect of the restaurant’s overall success might mean that you may need to perform other jobs.

Running a station, grill, sauté, pizza or pantry for dinner and following standardized recipes and completing given assignments in a fast-paced fine dining kitchen

Communicates with the front of the house and follows detailed instructions, both oral and written, of the Chef. Maintains a safe environment in the kitchen and behind the service line.

Takes responsibility for the product used and manages it to assure a quality product.

Must practice good personal hygiene and safe food handling skills.

Other duties include stocking, maintaining and clean service area, properly storing all food items, and rotating products for freshness.

Controls all par levels for kitchen.

Menu development

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Minimum three years supervisory experience in dining environment, kitchen
-
Basic computer skills
-
Must be able to run kitchen operations
-
Know how to read a P&L
-
Understand local and state food regulation
-
Be able to place orders with vendors
-
Proficient in helping with production of kitchen
-
Manager Serv safe certificate or similar credentials
-
Able to set up line station quickly and expedite orders
-
Strong communication skills, including ability to train staff members
-
Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs

Positive work ethic

Team-oriented attitude
-
Able to work in a hot kitchen environment up to 8 hours during a shift

Able to talk and hear directions in a loud kitchen environment

Able to work weekends and holidays as necessary
