In this role, you will:
Production Focus:
- Perform system-level troubleshooting and go/no-go testing.
- Document test results and tag items for acceptance or rejection.
- Assemble and install various assemblies and subassemblies.
- Perform repairs or adjustments on selected products.
- Advise supervisors of test and quality problems.
- Provide training for staff using Factory Logix MES software.
Operations Focus:
- Train production personnel in proper techniques for processing and assembling materials.
- Support and train lower-level manufacturing assemblers.
- Collaborate with Operations, Inventory Control, and Quality teams.
- Review and develop optimum production steps and sequences with the operations team.
- Assist the material team with layout plans and determine best practices for system assembly work cells.
- Perform document audits and work with supervision and engineers to improve documentation, process techniques, and workflow.
- Address material deficiencies and close gaps.
- Maintain and update Manufacturing Procedures (MPs) as required.
- Lead small groups in continuous improvement efforts.
- Drive process improvements from concept to implementation.
- Create fixtures/jigs for manufacturing improvements.
Education, Work Experience, Skills and Competencies Requirements:
- An associate degree or technical certification in a related field (e.g., electronics, manufacturing, engineering technology) is preferred, along with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Alternatively, 8 years of equivalent experience with system-level troubleshooting and testing will also be considered.
- Proficiency in standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Knowledge of Factory Logix MES software.
- Basic understanding of Agile and SAP systems.
- Basic familiarity with electro-mechanical systems and standard hand tools.
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams (Operations, Inventory Control, Quality).
