Job Description:
Analytical Mechanics Associates, Inc., (AMA) has an exciting opportunity to add a motivated and experienced Subcontract Manager with a diverse and solid background to join our team in Hampton, VA supporting the RSES Contract at NASA Langley Research Center. The qualified candidate will be responsible for conducting full lifecycle subcontract management tasks as a member of a multidisciplinary management team for NASA Contracts. The function of this position is to direct and manage the activities between the contract program office and Subcontractors/Suppliers during the life cycle of a program/new initiative of services while ensuring compliance with Company/Government policies and procedures and the oversite of Subcontract Administrators.
The position does not support telework and will be located at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA.
Job Duties:
- Serves as primary contact for subcontracts team.
- Responsible for identifying and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for contract success.
- Supervise and direct the activities of Subcontract Administrators, Buyers, assigned to support the contract program office.
- Work closely with suppliers/subcontractors to execute contracts and provide contract management support with complex contracts.
- Leads the subcontracting effort to establish the overall subcontract plan, proposal review criteria, analysis, and evaluation of proposals.
- Leads and conducts proposal preparation, and management of highly complex major subcontracts.
- Ability to work on complex assignments, where analysis and routine and non-routine data gathering and presenting is required
- Manages contract performance for conformance to original proposal. Responsible for leading cadences with subcontractors and providing status to internal stakeholders.
- Briefs Senior Management as required, attends meetings with suppliers and other subcontract administrator/senior management.
- Collaborate with program management office and senior management.
- Works independently on complex business issues requiring development of solutions, interprets policies, procedures and practices and is responsible for enforcing these policies internally as well as in Subcontractor relationships.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent OR
- In absence of a degree, minimum 15 years of relevant experience is required.
- Prior experience working in a program management office supporting a Federal contracting environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to security clearance requirements.
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
- Position is considered sensitive and will be subject to drug and alcohol testing.

This position requires US Citizenship or Permanant Residence, a DOD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
