Position Summary
Client is currently seeking an Estimator for projects in the northeast Texas area. This position is based out of our Longview TX office.
The Role
This is a skilled estimator role pivotal to the short and longterm success of the firm and requires a candidate with integrity experience and professionalism. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following :
- Responsible for bids and proposals of all types. This will range from negotiated work to CMAR to designbuild to traditional designbidbuild procurement methods.
- IMPORTANT : The focus of this role will be traditional designbidbuild procurement i.e. Hard bidding against competing general contractors.
- Involvement in all sizes of projects will be necessary from $1000 to $.
- Lead the effort of our preconstruction services.
- Identify highrisk bid document / scope provisions and implement strategies to mitigate risk during preconstruction.
- Lead pricing value engineering site selection investigations and building assessments.
- Set up projects for success by establishing cost schedule and safety expectations during preconstruction.
- Establish a strong rapport with the bidding subcontractor and supplier marketplace building upon clients existing relationships with trade partners.
- Work with our Project Managers to facilitate the successful completion of projects.
- Conform to applicable company policies and procedures and uphold ethical standards.
- Report directly to and work closely with firm Owner & President.
