Job Title: Certified Surgery Scrub Tech (Operating Room)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Surgery Scrub Tech to join our team in the operating room. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures by providing sterile instruments and supplies needed for each surgery. The Certified Surgery Scrub Tech plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare and maintain the sterile field in the operating room.
2. Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
3. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary instruments and supplies.
4. Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and maintained.
5. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort during surgeries.
6. Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections in the operating room.
7. Maintain accurate records of all surgical procedures and supplies used.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program.
2. Previous experience working as a Surgery Scrub Tech in an operating room setting.
3. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
6. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
7. Current BLS certification.
8. Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control practices.
