ABOUT THE POSITION
Location: Parkville, MD, Rosedale, MD, and White Marsh, MD
Available Shifts:
- Saturday & Sunday: 7am-3pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 3pm-11pm
Anchor Home is seeking a Direct Support Professional/Certifies Medication Technician who is devoted, dependable, compassionate, and patient, and who have the desire to work with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
The DSP will be primarily responsible for providing daily care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our team members assist the individuals in accomplishing the following: independent living skills, planning activities in the home and community, and providing appropriate physical and emotional care to individuals to promote growth and development.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Assist the Delegating Nurse in prioritizing the client’s needs and responding appropriately to those needs.
2. Follow the Plan of Care as written by the Delegating Nurse.
3. Perform all procedures safely.
4. Document actions and client response to care provided.
5. Actively listens to any concerns expressed by the client.
6. Maintain client’s comfort and well-being.
7. May be required to drive clients around the community and to several places.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or College Degree
2. Certified Medication Technician (CMT) license.
3. Driver's license/Reliable transportation.
4. Passionate about working and caring for the intellectual/developmental disabilities population.
