Anchor Bar Restaurant Benefits/Perks
We are seeking an experienced Server to join our team! The Server is the face of our restaurant and plays an integral role in our customer’s dining experience. You will build rapport with customers, answer questions about the menu, take orders, and serve food and drinks. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and has fantastic attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Has a full knowledge of the Anchor Bar and its history.
Has full working knowledge of the Anchor Bar menu, bar menu and the ability to answer
customers’ questions about items on the menu.
Suggestive sells drinks, appetizers, desserts, etc. Uses salesmanship to increase check
averages.
Takes accurate orders from customers and accurately enters them in the POS System in a
timely manner.
Always writes down and then repeats customers’ orders back to them for accuracy.
Supports all Anchor Bar Rewards Programs & Marketing Initiatives.
Enters orders into POS and communicates with the kitchen and bartender regarding orders.
Accurately inputs all drink and food orders. Communicates effectively with all team members.
Visually checks and verifies IDs to determine customers’ legal age. Upholds state and local
liquor laws.
Ensures all food and drinks served are within Anchor Bar standards of quality and freshness.
Serves customers in a professional and courteous manner making recommendations when
necessary.
Provides teamwork and support to other team members. Assists other servers and other team
members whenever needed.
Maintained a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
Thanks customers as they are leaving with a genuine tone and smile.
Informs the manager on duty of any customer needs or issues.
Works as a team player with the Front of the House, Back of the House, Management Team
and Owner(s).
Perform all opening, daily shift checklist and closing duties accurately as assigned.
Perform any job function requested by the management team

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server is preferred
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
