ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists client in gaining/maintaining stability by increasing the support in the client’s environment by establishing ties with peer groups, activities, and advocacy networks (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).
2. Assists the client in meeting overall goals as identified in treatment plan, to include areas of employment, housing, educational, peer or personal relationships and social and personal appearance (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).
3. Monitors client's life skills functioning and assists client in areas of need or reevaluates goals to move toward increasing skills in other areas (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).
4. Mobilizes community resources as well as assisting client in accessing personal resources to alleviate crisis (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).
5. Assists in crisis intervention when necessary to resolve and stabilize emergency situations. Alerts team members if behavior or functioning of a client suggests the need for a higher level or care (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).
6. Responsible for keeping accurate and complete clinical records in accordance with established program and Organization operating procedures (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).
7. Engages in appropriate teamwork function (such as mutual support, clarification of office responsibilities and procedures, and mutual assistance) according to program policy in order to provide a professional environment and effective service delivery (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).
8. Develops cooperative relationships with community agencies, client's family member, physicians, and all interested agencies and individuals to interpret the mental health center services and develop mental health services in the community (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).
9. Provides problem solving and supportive listening (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).
10. Understands and abides by all Corporate Compliance, HIPAA, and Security policies and code of conduct by displaying ethical behavior as it applies to the scope and authority of the job (Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Program).

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: High school or GED.
2. Physical/Mental Requirements:
A. Ability to communicate verbally, document, and understand the English language.
B. Ability to hear effectively in conversation on the telephone, in treatment team meetings, and with dysfunctional clients.
C. Ability to handle multiple demands, both physically and mentally.
D. Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
E. Ability to work with the chronically mentally ill.
F. Ability to assess mental status changes.
G. Ability to work flexible schedules, i.e., holidays and weekends.
H. Ability to keep client information confidential.
I. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
J. Possesses valid Alaska Driver’s License and driving record indicating the absence of suspension or revocation of license in any state or jurisdiction during the past five years; more than one moving violation during the past year; or accident resulting in personal injury during the past three years for which the operator was cited for violation of motor vehicle code(s).
