About the Team
The Residential team provides mental health residential treatment for adults with acute mental health needs who have not responded to outpatient treatment, have needs that cannot be met in a less-restrictive setting, or would benefit from further treatment following inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. The team provides medication services and individual and group services with a focus on skill development including communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution; life and social skills to restore functioning; and self-regulation, anger management, and other mood management skills.
What You’ll Do
- Assist clients in meeting overall goals as identified in treatment plan; to include areas of management of daily routine/skills building, basic home upkeep, employment, housing, and treatment program attendance and education
- Provide structure, supervision, and monitoring necessary to maintain and protect a chronically mentally ill adult recipient and their peers
- Provide case management support to clients in connecting to community resources as well as skill building, focusing on extending skills learned in therapy
- Redirect and encourage safe interactions with client's fellow residents, building personal relationships, support systems and social engagement within the community
- Monitor onsite family visitation and assist residents with meals and work together with staff to provide residents with a safe environment to manage their activities of daily living (ADLS)
- Work in a residential treatment setting, which may include interactions with individuals experiencing acute mental health symptoms.

- Position is based in Fairbanks, Alaska
- On-Call, Non-Exempt
- Pay Rate: $25.00/Hourly
- Schedule: Shifts will vary; some shifts may be shorter than 12 hours
- On-call shifts will be assigned based on program needs and staff availability. Candidates must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
What We Need from You
- High school diploma or GED. (Associate degree applicants greatly encouraged to apply)
- Two years of case management experience working with mentally ill adults in relevant settings such alcohol, drug, developmental disability, physical rehabilitation, etc.
- Valid drivers license with a 5-year clean driving record
