Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze construction project plans, blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand the scope and requirements of the project.
- Performing estimations for medium to large-scale projects independently and assisting with reviewing others.
- Be able to perform in-depth take-offs fully and completely.
- Be up to date with all market trends and keep the unit cost sheet updated accordingly.
- Understand client requirements for turning in a successful bid package.
- Be able to clarify inclusions and exclusions clearly.
- Vet and qualify subcontractor and vendor bid proposals based upon scope of work and other factors.
- Utilizing advanced data analysis for accurate cost forecasting and estimations.
- Collaborating with other parties for effective estimation decisions.
- Assisting in the mentoring and development of junior estimators.
- Seeking new methods and tools to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.
- Use multiple platforms to gather bids.
- Ensure timely submission of bids to the clients.
- Be able to compile and compare bid tabulations

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction estimating, with at least 5 years in a senior estimating role.
- Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimating techniques.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modeling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
