Overview
We are seeking skilled and experienced and personable Freelance Boat Captains with at least a 6-pack USCG captain's license. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of boating experience in the Upper Keys. This role is crucial for ensuring safe navigation and compliance with maritime regulations while providing an exceptional experience for passengers. Tours include snorkeling, sandbar, sightseeing, ecotours, family fun fishing, sunset tours, bar/restaurant hopping, and a combo tours. Tours could be any day of the week, beginning as early as 9 a.m. and end as late as 7 p.m. Freelance captains accept tours when available. We are a 5-star rated company and freelance captains must provide 5-star experiences/service!
Responsibilities
- Navigate the vessel safely through various water conditions while adhering to all maritime laws and regulations.
- Follow checklists to ensure that vessel is ready for each chartered tour and utilize guidelines for each type of tour.
- Rig equipment as necessary for various activities, including fishing, sightseeing, or other excursions.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during their time on board.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Boat Captain or in a similar role within the maritime industry is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to boat operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Valid captain's license and certifications as required by local regulations are mandatory.

Expected hours: 2 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
