AncoraTN (ATN), formerly End Slavery Tennessee, works tirelessly to nurture survivor healing and strategically combat human trafficking in Middle Tennessee. We seek to break cycles of exploitation and support survivors of human trafficking as they heal from their traumas—offering long-term, comprehensive aftercare services. Through training communities and professionals, advocating for legal changes, and implementing prevention programming, AncoraTN works to stop human trafficking before it ever begins.

AncoraTN was founded in 2012 as a faith-based, not-for-profit organization for the purpose of community awareness and education. Emergency Services Manager

 The Intervention Specialist will provide services to survivors of human trafficking in Middle Tennessee utilizing End Slavery Tennessee in-house services, contracts, community service providers and other collaborations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with new referrals, assess service eligibility, and conduct initial assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures, maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including grant reporting.
  • Coordinate client care with direct services team members.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings and schedule onsite assessments for survivors seeking services.
  • Input and maintain referral data in the Apricot system.
  • Attend community coalition meetings to promote programs and conduct initial screenings as needed.
  • Communicate with survivors, families, and professionals to determine appropriate levels of care and available services.
  • Screen and coordinate direct admissions to the ATN safe house from emergency departments, crisis teams, law enforcement, and other agencies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of resources throughout Middle Tennessee and provide referrals as appropriate.
  • Meet with organizations and agencies to educate the community on ATN’s referral process and direct service resources.
  • Lead and organize Admission Team meetings to review Residential Applications.
  • Complete administrative reports for financial expenses.
  • Assist with client appointments for emergency referrals in the emergency suite.
  • Establish strong, professional, and compassionate relationships with victims of human trafficking.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with other organizations for case coordination and response.
  • Work closely with the Emergency Services Manager, Chief Programs Officer, and other staff to enhance and improve survivor care systems.
  • Build rapport and trust with a diverse population, including clients and staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date client and service documentation for grant reporting and research.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Emergency Services Manager or supervisor.

All positions at AncoraTN interact with survivors of human trafficking from day to day. This issue is sensitive and complex. Every employee is trained in trauma-informed and strength-based approaches in order to connect with and build appropriate and encouraging relationships with survivors. We strive to create a completely judgement free work environment. Empathy, compassion, and the ability to deal with difficult situations is a must for anyone who works at AncoraTN.

Work is carried out primarily in an office setting with intermittent sitting, standing, walking and some light physical activity or out in the field. Most work is performed while sitting and using the computer, phone and engaged in face-to-face conversation with staff and/or clients. Regular car travel required (must operate both personal and staff vehicle).

Work hours are primarily daytime but does require some night or weekend work when on call or assisting a referring partner.

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, or a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) required. A Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a Master of Social Work (MSW) is preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

· Language: Bilingual candidates preferred.

· Expertise: Demonstrated ability to understand and implement best practices in services for at-risk individuals and families.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.

· Experience: Background in case management or a related role, with experience in trauma, substance abuse, sexual exploitation, victim assistance, child protective services, youth in foster care, or human trafficking populations.

· Community Knowledge: Familiarity with mainstream community resources.

· Interpersonal Skills: People-oriented, with the ability to build rapport and gain trust across diverse populations.

· Collaboration: Experience working alongside first responders, hospitals, law enforcement, and other frontline professionals.

· Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work irregular hours based on survivor needs.

· Resilience: Ability to perform effectively under pressure.

· Communication & Organization: Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and prompt responsiveness to messages.

· Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality as required by law and in the best interests of survivors, staff, and the agency.

· Adaptability & Work Ethic: Fast learner, quick thinker, hardworking, teachable, and flexible.

· Transportation: Valid Tennessee driver’s license, state-required insurance, and access to reliable personal transportation with the ability to travel throughout Middle Tennessee.

Full-time, typically Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (willing to work some evening and weekend hours, as needed). Some travel may be required.

Base Salary: $47,000-$53,000 based on a combination of education and experience

Benefits:

  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance. Eligible after 30 days.
  • $150.00/ month for therapy
  • 120 PTO accrued 10 hours/ month. Eligible after 30 days of employment.
  • 96 hours sick leave accrued 4 hours/ pay period. Eligible after 30 days of employment. * 13 paid holidays * 4 floating holidays
  • Short term disability, Long term disability, AD&D and Life insurance
  • Employer 403b match up to 1% of salary based on employee contributions and dependent on annual board vote. Eligible after 6 months of employment.
