What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Manager position at ANCRA INTERNATIONAL, LLC?
Key Responsibilities and Priorities :
- Provide effective leadership and motivation to the Quality Department.
- Provide strategic direction that supports both Aircraft and Fitting Business Units to include alignment with our manufacturing facility in Baja, MX.
- Assist with maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS)- supporting : Sales, Design, Purchasing & Operations
- Enforce processes in place that ensure we continue to meet the current and future needs of the business
- Sustain SMART specific metrics that are aligned with the Quality objectives of the organization
- Implement risk base processes to mitigate quality issues while reducing quality oversight
- Support internal, customer and 3rd party audits, including the FAA and CASE
- Drive inspection requirements, acceptance limits and inspection plans to ensure alignment and compliance with customer / regulatory requirements
- Responsible for accomplishing daily goals (using SQDIP methodologies) and objectives and establishing a culture of positive employee relations while ensuring all processes, best practices, and policies are adhered to
- Reviews all data obtained during quality activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures
- Support best practices and technologies used to improve quality and reduce waste / costs
- Works cooperatively with others to meet goals, solve problems or suggest improvements. Has and applies proficient skills and knowledge for all functions within the department.
Knowledge / Skills :
Education Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in engineering and or 10 years of hands-on experience in a lean manufacturing environment. Aerospace Industry experience is a plus.
