Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Pathology Assistant to join our team at the University of Maryland Saint Joseph Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our pathologists and ensuring the smooth operation of our lab.
Responsibilities:
- Assist pathologists with specimen preparation, staining, and examination
- Perform various laboratory tasks, including tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning
- Maintain accurate records and reports, as well as ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain expertise in laboratory procedures and technologies
- Collaborate with other lab staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Pathology or related field required
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pathology Assistant in an academic or clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
