What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Plumbing Estimator position at Andersen Commercial Plumbing, LLC?

Andersen Commercial Plumbing, recognized as Southern California's Top Service Commercial Companies, is currently seeking a Commercial Plumbing Estimator.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Quantify project components.
Maintain take-off spreadsheets for organizing material descriptions and quantities, back up of work, and project summaries.
Identifying constructability issues through the estimating process.
Sub-contractor and supplier solicitations.
Ensure all working documents and data is maintained to back up estimates.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, and services for our type of work.
Efficiently read blueprints and understand industry pricing.
Other duties which may be assigned.

Skills / Qualifications :

5 years of estimating experience is preferred.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong knowledge of Commercial Plumbing Systems.

Experience with fast paced tenant improvement work .

Strong multi-tasking skills.

Strong Math Skills.

Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines while maintaining a focus on quality.

Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive.

Experience with Excel & Word – Bluebeam experience a plus

Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug test prior to employment.

Must be willing to submit to an MVR report – Valid Driver’s License, No DUIs or more than 2 points on a driving record is our baseline standard.
