Service Manager – Andeson Powesports

About the Role:
Anderson Powersports is seeking a Service Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our service. This leadership role is crucial in ensuring excellent customer service, optimizing department performance, and driving profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire service technicians to enhance productivity and performance.
- Manage the service department to meet profit targets, maintaining expense and revenue goals.
- Monitor and support service advisors to ensure the highest levels of customer service and efficiency.
- Increase service work volume by optimizing technician workflow and processes.
- Assist technicians in troubleshooting and completing complex repairs.
- Ensure technicians and service advisors are properly trained, motivated, and ready to perform.
- Oversee job assignments, ensuring work is delegated efficiently based on skill levels.
- Manage and track warranty claims, customer-paid repairs, and internal service orders.
- Ensure timely closure of repair orders (ROs) and monitor open ROs to prevent delays.
- Regularly review and improve service department processes to maximize efficiency.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and attend training sessions as needed.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain an organized and professional service department
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of related experience in automotive service or operations.
- 5-7 years of supervisory experience in an automotive service center.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Process-oriented mindset, with the ability to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to resolve service concerns effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members, management, and customers.
- Ability to analyze reports and financial metrics to drive department success.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Regular exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
- Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work schedule includes evenings and weekends as needed to meet service demands.
- Occasional travel (less than 25%) may be required for meetings or training.
