Job Purpose:
To supervise and support the Sales Development team, ensuring efficient workflow, achievement of business goals, and high standards of client service. This role involves managing team performance, training new hires, and maintaining effective communication with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision:
- Monitor the workflow of the Sales Development team to ensure that business goals, deadlines, and key performance standards are met consistently.
- Utilize reports and KPI dashboards to monitor trends and identify areas for consistent improvement.
- Listen to team calls to evaluate expectation setting and communication with clients.
Training and Development:
- Work with the department trainer to onboard new hires and create and modify training material.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new or revised procedures.
- Set short and long-term goals for career and personal development during one-on-one sessions with direct reports
Process Improvement:
- Learn and understand the Sales Development role and responsibilities to guide and explain processes to team members.
- Identify opportunities for improving sales Development processes and implement best practices to enhance team efficiency and client satisfaction.
Recruitment and Evaluation:
- Interview and evaluate new candidate prospects.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
Client Communication:
- Ensure effective communication with clients to maintain high standards of client service.
- Address and resolve client inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure seamless client acquisition and post-sale service.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven supervisory and team management skills.
- Ability to lead meetings and build team camaraderie.
- Proficiency with G Suite (including Gmail, Slides, Docs, and Sheets) as well as Salesforce.
- Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated independent thinker who enjoys learning.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree preferred but not required; relevant work history will be considered.
- Additional certifications or coursework related to team management or sales Development.
Performance Metrics:
- Team Efficiency: Timely completion of sales Development tasks and projects.
- Client Satisfaction: Measured by client feedback and satisfaction survey results.
- Training Effectiveness: Successful onboarding and development of new hires.
- Process Improvement: Implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
