SUMMARY:
Maintains knowledge of the regulatory requirements related to programs certified by New York State Education Department (SED) the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) including Home and Community Based (HCBS) programs, and Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). Conducts formal and informal compliance and quality audits and monitoring activities as directed. Monitors implementation of corrective actions related to program deficiencies or incidents. Supports the development and processing of agency Standard Operating Procedures.
QUALITY OF LIFE EXPECTATION FOR ALL STAFF:
To actively further the agency’s mission to optimize quality of life (QofL) for individuals served by monitoring and implementing systems that promote the QofL of the individuals in our care.
Responsibilities:
- Completes or assists with the completion of education program audits, person centered reviews, compliance audits and other audits, as directed, to assess regulatory compliance, staff understanding and implementation of regulations, agency procedures and practices, and progress of children and adults towards goal and valued outcome attainment.
- Maintains knowledge of current incident management regulations for SED, OCFS and OPWDD certified programs and conducts investigations as directed.
- Supports the development and management of agency Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as directed.
- Supports the development and management of Compliance training topics.
- Supports the development of Compliance Department presentations, activities, reports, and/or other documents related to compliance education throughout the agency.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum AA/BA preferred, with sufficient experience to perform the responsibilities of the position.
