The Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (FMTII) ensures a safe, clean environment for all program participants and staff. Carries out the day-to-day work and repairs of the Operations Department as assigned. Leads work groups as established for temporary and permanent projects. Establishes the high standards of professionalism expected from all department employees. Ability and knowledge to use various equipment such as zero turn mower, weed whacker, hand tools, chain saw, backpack sprayer, skid steer, backhoe, aerial lift, snowplow and salter, etc. Basic understanding of trees, plants and shrub care to maintain healthy and maintained landscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs assigned tasks efficiently and in a professional, workmanlike manner.
- Ensures prompt corrective measures for all identified hazards.
- Ensures systems are functioning properly.
- Represents the department in a positive manner at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
HS Diploma or equivalent with sufficient knowledge and experience to satisfactorily perform the responsibilities of the position.
