What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Administrative Assistant position at Anderson County Government?
PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION
The classification of this position aims to provide clerical support to the Human Resources and Risk Management staff. The position is to be the face of the department by professionally answering calls, greeting employees and the department staff, and routing concerns or requests to the correct parties for resolution. The position also answers questions appropriately and accurately.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required or assigned.
- Be the first point of contact for employees while maintaining a clean and professional front office space.
- Directs inquiries and complaints to ensure quick resolution and assist in the process as needed
- Assist with updating Workers Compensation spreadsheets, including OSHA Logs
- Maintain HR's vendor billing process and required reporting
- Office supply purchasing and inventory upkeep according to annual budget
- Collect/Receipt payments for processing, including employee benefit payments and open records payments
- Update employee documentation into applicable files and appropriate spreadsheets utilizing the Secure Employee Portal
- Assists the Human Resources staff with filing, faxing, e-mails, data entry, online scheduling of meetings, and all other requested items
- Assist with the recruitment process for all Anderson County departments, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. File and distribute applications to appropriate Departments as requested
- Conduct new hire orientation along with Human Resources & Risk Management staff for all County new hires
- Assist with administering employee benefit programs
- Administers employee Onboarding program via Secure Employee Portal.
- Assist with Title VI filing and Open Records Request information with the Director
- Manage Human Resources Facebook page
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree or 1 year of related work experience in a professional environment. Possession of a valid Tennessee Driver's License.
