Claims Specialist

POSITION: CLAIMS SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: VETERANS AFFAIRS
Responsibilities:
Performs various clerical, secretarial, and administrative work related to the Veterans Affairs Department such as filing claims, preparing various forms and reports, answering phones, receiving the public, and aiding of Veteran’s needs.
Requirements:
- Valid SC Driver’s License
Accreditation Requirements:
- Must attend and participate in training for initial accreditation. Must obtain a passing certificate from the SCDVA.
- Must pass and obtain from the DVA a PIV Federal ID Card which allows access to the DVA database on Veterans for which we hold POA. Immediate dismissal if initial accreditation from SCDVA is not obtained or a Federal PIV card is not issued after testing and background check is completed.
