Drug Court Program Coordinator

POSITION: Drug Court Program Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Solicitor
Responsibilities:
- Manages program administration of Drug Court.
- Manages all legal inquiries, services, and quality assurance reports.
- Conducts clinical assessment on all referrals.
- Prepares and presents progress report in weekly court sessions.
- Oversees fee and restitution payments, drug testing schedule, and outside resources.
- Maintains DHEC Regulations for Drug Court.
- Case manage Juvenile Diversion Program.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of community resources and social service agencies.
- Thorough knowledge of rules, regulations, law and ordinances relative to problem solving courts.
- Ability to investigate, collect, compile, and present a variety of information and facts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in interpreting and applying various procedures and guidelines.
- Thorough knowledge of addictions and related issues pertinent to counseling criminal offenders.
- Understanding of judicial rules and regulations governing the Drug Court program.
- Knowledge of 12 step Philosophy of Alcoholism and Drug Addiction.
- Ability to work in a team environment and function as a team leader.
- Ability to deal with persons in a highly stressful situations and to be able to confront with diplomacy.
- Extensive knowledge of DHEC regulations governing alcohol and drug outpatient treatment programs.
Job Specifications:
A Master’s Degree in counseling preferred.
National or state credentials in addictions counseling or licensure as a professional counselor or social worker per SC DHEC standards.
