Supply Chain Manager

At our client, we deeply believe that the right people are our greatest asset. We value individuals with high energy who have the ability to inspire and energize those around them. People who are smart, creative, and bring a strong point of view. People who focus on finding solutions rather than dwelling on problems. Individuals who are driven, determined, and refuse to take “no” for an answer. We value team players—those who prioritize what’s right over who’s right.

We are searching for a rockstar Supply Chain Manager to join our team!

You will be a key driver in our client’s mission to ensure that the right inventory and supplies are always in the right place, in the right quantities, at the right time, and within budget. This ensures we fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.

The Supply Chain Manager will take ownership of purchasing, supply planning, sourcing, supplier coordination, materials movement, order reconciliation, and improvement initiatives. You’ll ensure raw materials, finished goods, and supplies are planned, sourced, purchased, transported, stored, and replenished efficiently—without reaching critically low levels or stocking out. If you’re a one-of-a-kind, expert Procurement Manager, we want to chat! We can’t wait to meet you!

Responsibilities

  • Must be located in Dallas, Texas, or surrounding areas.
  • Develop, lead, and execute short- and long-term purchasing, sourcing, and cost-saving strategies.
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and terms with vendors.
  • Source vendors globally for new items and backup suppliers to mitigate risk for existing components, both domestically and internationally.
  • Identify multiple vendors for each project.
  • Collaborate with suppliers based on team feedback or internal testing.
  • Negotiate and review supplier terms (payment terms, pricing, QA processes, etc.).
  • Develop a view of total landed costs for upcoming product categories; define and achieve cost targets through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
  • Ensure suppliers and products meet all safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze sales reports and forecasts to maintain adequate inventory for manufacturing and fulfillment.
  • Ensure products align with the company’s quality, sustainability, and ethical standards.
  • Oversee ordering new products: create new inventory items and BOMs, upload product databases, place purchase orders, coordinate logistics, and ensure receipt at warehouses.
  • Maintain expertise in COGS, landed costing, and pricing strategies.
  • Regularly analyze sales data, inventory levels, open POs, and lead time information to determine purchasing needs and timing while avoiding over- or under-purchasing.
  • Coordinate with the inventory team to receive frequent inventory stock updates.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders in the Netsuite ERP system and initiate purchases with domestic and international suppliers via email, phone, or online—this includes urgent or out-of-stock items.
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure proper order processing and shipping.
  • Maintain and update ERP and other system data regarding items ordered, in transit, received, or returned.
  • Keep detailed records of supplier contact information, ordering processes, and account details.
  • Identify risks related to unavailable items, supplier issues, or lead time problems, and communicate solutions to management and stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of improved forecasting and demand planning software and processes.
  • Balance competing priorities in a fluid, startup environment.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member, contributing positively and openly.
  • Ensure attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Meet deadlines without delays and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Inspire and motivate others, creating a positive and fun work environment.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of purchasing experience, including purchase order processing and management.
  • 3 years of supplier/vendor relations experience, with confidence in supplier communications.
  • E-commerce supply chain experience.
  • Experience with Netsuite ERP.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business acumen and tact when communicating with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with a sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and due diligence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive team environment.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume settings with tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and independent, able to work productively without supervision.
  • Minimum associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
