Job Summary: Responsible for performing quality cardiology diagnostic testing under the direction of a physician. May engage in all departmental activities to provide safe and effective delivery of patient care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation for
newborn, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients within the parameters guided by the American College of Cardiology.

Job Responsibilities: (Dependent on Technician skills level)
1. Performing and managing electrocardiograms ( EKGs).
2. Holter application and scanning.
3. Front desk operations, schedule module, communications.
4. Prepare testing records for physician review and interpretation.
5. Performing stress tests.
6. Neurology technician duties/cross-trained.
7. Exclusion monitoring through the Compliance Resource Center (CRC) software.
Education Requirements and Other Requirements:
Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification/Licensure: Certified Cardiology Technician preferred
Experience Requirements: Adult/Pediatric CPR certification required (Available upon employment).
Typing skills and general computer knowledge required.
Medical terminology familiarity required.
Formal training and/or 1-2 years experience in Cardiology preferred.
Basic ECG/EKG interpretation skills preferred.
Cardiac stress testing experience preferred.
Working Conditions: Extensive standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting of medium to heavy weights.
