Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic HR team and grow within the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a shop setting or manufacturing industry. Possess strong organizational skills, a passion for people, and a solid understanding of HR law, systems and practices but most importantly enjoys having fun in the process.
Duties
- Coordinating/planning company events on/off site.
- Familiar with payroll processing and reporting (quarterly and annual).
- Recruitment -job openings, job fairs, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
- Assist with employee benefits administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Familiar with employment law to ensure compliance and risk avoidance.
- Engage in social media management to promote the company’s employer brand and attract potential candidates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Experience working in a shop setting or manufacturing industry required.
- SHRM certification preferred or willingness to become certified.
- Flexible with changing priorities.
- 10 years experience in an HR role is preferred.
- Experience with benefit administration.
- Payroll reporting.
- Knowledge of HR software systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work with various personalities.
- Skilled at risk avoidance and familiar with DOL guidelines and regulations required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
