Medina Creative Accessibility is a non-profit organization that provides housing and an array of services to adults with developmental disabilities. Our focus is to foster independence and inclusion by removing barriers and providing quality supports.
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for performing professional HR-related duties and works closely with the Executive Director and CEO. This position carries out responsibilities in the areas of: employee relations, onboarding, policy management, recruiting, interviewing, and managing personnel records/database.
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation
- Monitors performance evaluations
- Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel students, and temporary employees; and writes and places advertisements.
- Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviews.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and seminars.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Maintains human resource information system records and complies reports from the database.
- Completes any and all duties assigned to by the CEO and Executive Director.
Requirements:
- HR Expertise and ethical practice
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 2-4 years of HR experience
- Criminal background check
- Certification in CPR/First aid (provided)
- Must maintain a valid Ohio drivers license / Ohio vehicle insurance coverage and reliable vehicle transportation

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
