What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Anderson Law Group, LLC?
Looking to hire a litigation paralegal who assists attorneys with case management, drafting of correspondence, document review and organization of case related material. Only people who are highly organized need apply. I'm talking "labels on label-makers" level of organized. There will be on-the-job training.
Responsibilities
- Manage the calendars of attorneys -- you are the air-traffic controller of the firm.
- Draft and send correspondence on behalf of attorneys.
- Review and summarize large document productions.
- Draft subpoenas, releases, and other types of legal documents.
- Interact with clients, opposing counsel, other attorneys.
- Take notes in meetings and phone conferences.
- File documents with the Court.
- Track the time it takes you to do tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. Don't get hung up on this, our Senior partner has a bachelors in geology.
- HIGHLY ORGANIZED. You must have a need to create order out of chaos.
- Must be personable and polite -- manners are a big thing here. (Can you be polite when a client/opposing counsel is rude to you?)
- Must know how to use Word and Excel, more than just opening them up on the desktop.
- Preferred that you know how to use MS Teams, but not a deal-breaker
- Must be open to learning.
- Did I mention organization skills? If not, that's a big qualification.
