Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Inspection & Testing
- Inspect and test materials, components, and products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to specifications.
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections as required.
- Record inspection results in detailed reports and provide feedback to production and quality teams.
- Identify defects and collaborate with production staff to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Verify that incoming materials meet required specifications by reviewing supplier documentation and performing inspections.
- Ensure that all incoming and in-process materials comply with applicable standards and company specifications.
- Maintain calibration of testing equipment and tools to ensure accurate inspection results.
- Assist in creating and updating quality inspection procedures and documentation.
- Monitor quality trends and collaborate with teams on quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company quality policies.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by participating in quality audits and corrective actions.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and other relevant quality systems.
- Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and quality control methods.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using quality inspection software or ERP systems is a plus.
