What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Coordinator (Family Med) position at Anderson Regional Health System?
Performs a variety of duties that support the patients, staff and facility. These duties include but are not limited to visitor information receptionist, patient transport, messenger and clerical assistance. Follows the policies and procedures of the facility. Gathers demographic and insurance information and enters into the practice management system. Responsible for verifying insurance and collecting the appropriate co-pays, co-insurances and past due balances. Will schedule appointments and make appointment reminder phone calls. May handle pre-certifications maintaining a professional working relationship with insurance companies. Displays good public relation and communication skills.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Minimum 6 months clerical / secretarial experience
- Skills :
- Knowledge of correct and safe use of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine, and computer.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to organize and communicate clearly.
- Professional communication and clinical skills.
- Strong Interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas :
Education / Regulatory Requirements :
High School graduate / GED certificate
Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills.
