JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Intern II is a graduate of a registered nursing program awaiting licensure. The time period for the graduate nurse to remain in the Nurse Intern II job category is no longer than 90 days from the date of graduation. The nurse graduate transitions into the clinical setting through didactic classroom learning, simulations, and clinical orientation with a dedicated preceptor. The Nurse Intern II will report to the unit-based managers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas :
Education / Regulatory Requirements :
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of 3.0 GPA with official transcripts.
Current unencumbered Mississippi or Compact state RN license required, or obtained within 3 months of hire.
BLS / CPR required.
Skills :
Must meet one of the following requirements :
Be a 4th Semester ADN student in good standing awaiting graduation.
