Anderson University’s College of Business invites applications for a full-time position as Administrative Assistant for Undergraduate Programs. The Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Dean, Associate Dean, faculty, and staff of the College of Business, performing duties associated with general office management and COB academic operations. The Administrative Assistant will assist faculty with the roster reconciliation process, communicating important Registrar deadlines throughout the academic year, including add/drop, grade submission, and course registration, ensuring all deadlines are met, and will provide documentation related to class roster, student schedules, and course syllabus. As a primary contact for the COB, the Administrative Assistant will meet with incoming freshman and transfer students and create academic advisor folders and course schedules, using program requirements, and will closely monitor course enrollment and waitlists, collaborating with the Associate Dean and Registrar Office in updating course offerings, as needed. Additionally, this position will track, organize, and maintain all expenses and departmental data related to faculty, staff, and students, and will generate reports, as requested.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a bachelor’s degree and previous experience in a college or university setting is preferred. Proficiency in Excel and MS Office programs, and database management software, like SCT Power Campus, is desired. Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service, and the ability to effectively muti-task and prioritize while maintaining a keen attention to detail is required. The ability to maintain confidential information and uphold and promote the Christian mission of the university is essential.
