Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
- Operate the POS system efficiently for order processing and cash register transactions.
- Assist in catering events as needed, showcasing excellent time management skills.
- Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patrons.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience preferred, particularly in fine dining or high-volume establishments.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits is essential.
- Excellent math skills for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Familiarity with catering services is a plus.
- Proficient in using POS systems and cash registers.
- Exceptional time management abilities to handle busy shifts effectively.
- Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A valid food handling certification is preferred but not required; training can be provided.
